Press Conference English SubsWe’re very proud to show you, as a Twilight Italia.com exclusive, the video of the Press Conference which was held in Montepulciano last week, on May 25th, to officially communicate the start of the filming in Italy with the cast of New Moon. We were the only fan site allowed to be present to the Press Conference, thanks to our constant cooperation with Volterra in these latest months to support and help the initiatives of the Tuscan Town.

(Click on “leggi l’articolo completo” below to see the full article and video).

Present at the Press Conference were Chris Weitz (director), Bill Bannerman and Wyck Godfrey (producers for Summit Entertainment), Guido Cerasuolo (line producer for the italian filming, he was at the same position for the latest James Bond movie Quantum of Solace), and Massimo Della Giovampaola (Mayor of Montepulciano).

Volterra was also present among the audience with Paolo Paterni, the head of the “Volterra Committee” (made of representatives from the municipality, the tourism office, and the local savings Bank) and Luciano Picchi, administrator of the website NewMoonVolterra.com (the official communication channel for the city of Volterra regarding everything Twilight-related).

The Press Conference lasted about 45 minutes, of which we’re showing you the effective 16 minutes of questions and answers.
We’d like to add that the person in charge of translating the questions/answers was not an interpreter but just a tourist guide. She surely did her best, but we think that some points were not fully translated, which is why we preferred to translate the italian questions directly with english subtitles, (you can find the full italian translation here) cutting out the parts of the video dedicated to the translation.

Here’s the full video of the Press Conference.

We’d finally like to add that we, as fans, greatly appreciated the kindness and the professionalism of Chris Weitz and the Production in answering the questions that were asked. We look forward to see the final result of their hard work!

Ciao to all of the twilight fans around the world!

Sorry, but I can't speak Italian. i just wanted to say that I was in Tuscany and Pisa last week (from Ireland). We found out our villa was so close to Volterra – couldn't believe the coincidence. I love the books. This was my first time in Italy and I would definitely return. Wanted to visit Montepuciano but Volterra drive was scary (I normally drive on the left and didn't want to hurt anyone!) so we didn't attempt it.
Your country is beautiful and everyone we met was helpful and welcoming. Thank you and good luck with the filming. Ciao!
